David KIA is a talented French artist
who is constantly searching to explore
his personality, through his music.
He was first noticed in Paris, France in 2001, through the « TalentBrut » project, an internet musical portal created for beginning artists. This included his original compositions like « Le Périf » and « Time Out ». (CD)
He created the band « Terrasse Tranquille » in 2002, with his friend Iwaki. They made about 30 titles, (2002-2007) including « Affinitées », broadcasted the same year on « Radio Nova ».
In 2002, the « Newhouse Records » label, (San Fransisco, USA) discovered his work, and recorded him on the 2003 compilation « Paris Under Groove », with 5 titles (including two from « Terrasse Tranquille ». It was the first broadcast of David KIA’s music on US radio, and Canada, and Europe.
In 2004, David Kia received a 5 year contract with « Fine Productions » label, and his musical DVD «Sensoriel » broadcasted in 2005, under « Pioneer » contribution; featured 8 titles, including videos.
Between 2005 and 2009, he also produced the original soundtrack music for « Azzaro » designer perfume. These commercial productions aired in South America, Eastern Europe and Asia.
In 2010, he joined the “Strike Team”, European collective of NEXBEAT DJS. The same year, in the era of digital broadcasting, he released his first album ” Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea “.
In 2011, David Kia published an EP of 4 titles “Damned Things,” with his first official video clip, showcasing his Electro & Soulful House music. He also produces diverse remixes for similar artists.
2012: Sugar Shock Records (Miami, USA) published the single “How Disco Freed My House” which is already making an impact on US dance floors. This year, his second release and first full length album, “My Funky World” is a cocktail party of Funky/Disco House tracks and Chill-out sounds taking David Kia’s music to a wider audience and even further heights…
